The 212NYC Mentorship Program is looking for young professionals eager to participate in mentee opportunities. Our team of mentors hold leadership positions at some of the largest brands, agencies, and vendors in the ever growing ad tech ecosystem.

Our program is committed to providing individualized 1on1 coaching, as well as regular open sessions hosted by our leadership team on industry hot topics and career development to the selected mentee class.

Signing up for this program, each quarter mentees will be paired with a senior professional for 1 to 1 mentoring. 212NYC’s program is perfect for entry and junior professionals who are looking for:

  • Career Guidance

  • Navigating complex work situations

  • Growth - professionally and personally


Events and networking opportunities include:

  • Kick-off meeting / pairing with mentors

  • Ask-Me-Anything sessions with industry leaders

  • Professional development workshops (e.g., resume writing etc.)


Please be willing to commit to a standing 30 minute session once a month with your designated mentor/career coach at minimum. Mentoring pairings will be refreshed every three months.

AM I A MENTOR OR MENTEE?

Mentor: Advisor, Friend, Teacher, Coach. Seasoned media executives looking to give back, share knowledge and expertise, provide guidance, and give time to junior professionals.

Mentee: Protégé, Rising Star, Future Boss. Junior media professionals who are hungry to learn, grow, and challenge themselves. Mentees are individuals aspiring to advance and accept guidance from senior executives. Mentees are encouraged to manage the relationship with their mentor and ask for direction.
 

APPLICATION PROCESS & TIMELINE

  • Enrollment is open on a rolling basis!

  • You must be a registered member of 212NYC - membership is free for agencies and brands

  • From there new applications are reviewed by the programs leadership team

  • If accepted, you will be notified & placed in a specific Pod with your mentors or mentees.

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS 

  • Mentors and Mentees are encouraged to meet at least once a month (we encourage virtual meetings during social distancing)

  • Mentoring works best with not only the right match, but with regular meetings. That means continuing to stay in touch past the first couple of months. We ask that you hold each other accountable to continue participating.

  • Mentors and Mentees should try to attend at least one 212NYC or industry event together during the duration of their program.

  • Don’t join the Mentoring Program if you’re only looking to find a new job, as this isn’t the program’s objective.

  • All communications and discussions between teams will be kept confidential.

  • You must be a registered member of 212NYC to participate.
