Happy New Year!: 2022 Recap

What a year we've had!

A huge thank you to the incredible 212NYC Board of Directors & Commitee Leads, captivating panelists & supportive sponsors who make what we do possible, and above all - our members & this amazing, ever evolving, adapting, & innovating advertising industry.

In 2022, we celebrated the 20TH ANNIVERSARY of 212NYC.  I am so proud of where our organization is today and how much we've accomplished over the years.

From thought provoking panels to beach parties, professional development events, career fairs, mentorship programs, honoring industry leaders at our 212NYC Annual Gala, and more - there is so much to celebrate!

212NYC's mission is to build a better advertising industry by providing the programming, platform, tools and thought leadership to help our members grow in their career's at any stage.

And after almost three years of social distancing, cancelled events, and reimaginging & reinventing our work and personal lives, 2022 has been a turning point for the 212NYC organization.

In 2022, 212NYC remained committed to supporting the New York advertising industry by waiving our membership fee to provide access to our programming and career development services.

We celebrated our 1st Annual Gala since 2019 honoring industry titans Carla Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer, JPMorgan Chase, David Cohen, Chief Executive Officer, Interactive Advertising Bureau, Lisa Torres, President, Cultural Quotient, Publicis Media, and Tiffany R. Warren, Executive Vice President, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Sony Music Group, Founder & President, ADCOLOR, Board Chair, American Advertising Federation. We also honored one of our own who's massive contributions and lead by example approach has changed us for the better. Frank Minishak, EVP, Global Business Development and Partnerships, Matterkind and past 212NYC President, received 212NYC's inaugural legacy award.

We remained committed to mentorship with our 212NYC mentorship program and professional development with panels like "Personal Branding".  We continued to take on important topics like "Diversity of Faces, Not Voices" and hosted the first in person panel event since 2020 with the "Future of Advertising."

COVID has had a profound impact on all of us in many ways both personally and professionally and the past two years have been challenging.

In the face of these challenges, 212NYC has been able to adapt, evolve, overcome and perservere. 212NYC would not be able to accomplish all that we have without the support of this amazing advertising community.  We are grateful to you all!  Thank you.

Our organization has never been more committed to building a better advertising industry and we look forward to a FANTASTIC 2023.

With your support, there's nothing we can't do!

Sincerely,

Sophia Woodhouse
